The Martin County Sheriff's Office West County Operations Division is headquartered at the Indiantown Substation, located 20-miles west of Stuart.  Our Uniform Patrol deputies provide coverage for the 407-square miles that border on three other law enforcement jurisdictions: St. Luice, Okeechobee, and Palm Beach Counties.

Often times, deputies are involved in traffic enforcement activities, which allows commuters to safely travel through these jurisdcations.  They also protect Florida's east and west coast travelers.  Uniform Patrol deputies initiate enforcement strategies and assist detectives in investigating serious crimes.

West County Operations Division Commander, Captain Jenell Atlas, has oversight and coordination responsibilites of all activites, patrol functions and is the direct liason to the community.  Captain Atlas plans, directs and supervises all patrol shifts, while shift sergeants supervise the patrol deputies.

The Sheriff's Office Agricultural Crimes Unit, Environmental Crimes Unit and the Sheriff's Posse is also part of our West County Operations Division.
