Economic Crimes Unit
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office Economic Crimes Unit is comprised of five detectives and a supervisor. These detectives are specially trained in investigative techniques pertaining to all manner of economic or “white collar” crimes. This unit works in conjunction with other local, state and federal agencies to identify and aggressively pursue individuals responsible for committing credit card and other types of fraud. Detectives from the Economic Crimes Unit also work in conjunction with different organizations within the community to educate and protect our citizens from the rising tide of identity theft.
