The goal of the Parking Enforcement Specialist is to reduce the frequency of illegal parking in the spaces requiring a special permit and areas designated for emergency vehicle use. This volunteer unit has proven to be very successful in educating the public about parking issues. The benefit to the patrol units is that these deputies can remain available to answer calls for service while members of the Parking Enforcement Unit handle illegal parking situations.

This unit issued 878 parking violation citations in 2010.
